Hawkesbury Art Prize
The Hawkesbury Art Prize is a biennial award that recognises exceptional paintings, drawings, or works on paper exploring the theme of Contemporary Australian Identity. Open to artists from across Australia, the prize celebrates outstanding works created within the past year. The theme encourages a wide range of creative responses to the question of what it means to live in Australia today. Photography, textiles, embroidery, and sculpture are not included. Judging is undertaken by a panel of three respected figures in the Australian art world, making this a highly regarded national award.
Exhibition of Finalists: 30 August – 14 September 2025
Hosted at Purple Noon Gallery, the exhibition will present the finalist works, offering visitors an inspiring look at unique interpretations of contemporary Australian life.
The opening of the exhibition will coincide with the HAAT Open Studio Weekend, creating the perfect opportunity for visitors to enjoy both the prize exhibition and the vibrant studios of the Hawkesbury region.
