We are excited that Karen Tanner “Artistic Directions” is on our Open Studio Weekend Trail 29th & 30th of August 2026.
Karen’s studio is located at 119 Redbank Rd, North Richmond and she works as a designer, sculptor and painter.
Leveraging a wide range of materials and techniques to express her creative ideas, Karen includes mixed media, paper, welding, burnt wood, soldered wire, silk and watercolour. More recently, Karen’s works have included sculptural forms using wire and natural light, or feature lighting, and shadows to create a cascade of images.
This year, Karen is also hosting with Guest Artists Trish Fraunfelter of Eastbourne Art and Sculptor Mark Baker.
Karen is also exhibiting as part of the 14 Artists Exhibition, 20th Aug – 1st Sep 2026 at the The Garden Gallery, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney 10am – 4pm each day.
